Terms of Service

These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including students, tutors, and visitors.

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One person may only create one account

Tutor Requirements

• Must provide valid student ID or degree verification when requested
• Must pass our background check and interview process

Monthly Payment Terms

• Payment for each month is due after the scheduled number of classes (typically 10–12) are completed.
• No advance payment is required; payment is due after classes are completed.
• Disputed payments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Tutora is a medium for connection and cannot compel payment. Tutors are ultimately responsible for collecting payment, but Tutora will attempt to contact the guardian in case of non-payment.
• Payment for demo classes is governed by the Demo Class Policy.

General Policy

• Demo classes are not free of charge and must be paid at the same rate as the monthly contract.
• A maximum of 2 demo classes may be taken. After that, a contract must be established for further classes.

Unsatisfactory Demo Class

• If the tutor's performance is so poor that payment is clearly unjustified, the guardian must provide detailed reasons.
• If the tutor is found to be unacceptably poor, they may lose their opportunity to tutor on the platform.
• If a student or guardian refuses to pay for a demo class and cannot provide a valid, detailed reason, their account may be revoked from the platform.

Unsatisfactory but Payable Demo Class

• If the tutor's performance is not ideal but meets a basic standard, payment for the demo class is still required.
• Guardians are expected to pay for the skill level they select. Unjustified or random complaints to avoid payment may result in account termination.

Contract Initiation

• After demo classes, a contract must be established for further classes.

All Users Must

• Treat all platform users with respect and professionalism
• Maintain appropriate language and behavior during sessions
• Respect intellectual property and academic integrity
• Report any inappropriate behavior or safety concerns

Prohibited Activities

• Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
• Sharing personal contact information to bypass platform fees
• Academic dishonesty, including completing assignments for students
• Creating fake accounts or providing false information
• Soliciting or providing services outside the platform
